Recovery & Resolution Planning

This role will lead engagements within Investment Banking and Capital Markets, it is a senior management position and will provide independent expert advice to senior stakeholders, to ensure R&RP is effectively embedded in BAU activity.

Skills and experience

  • Applying an in-depth understanding of FSA regulations relating to RRP, in order to provide interpretation of regulations, including appropriate challenges to the FSA.
  • Ensuring RRP is embedded across the bank and incorporated into BAU activity.
  • Analysing MI relating to capital and liquidity; as well as interpreting and analysing capital and liquidity, ensuring compliance with RRP
  • Managing regulatory responses and feedback on behalf of the Executive to the FSA.
  • Leading the preparation of the bi-annual update of the recovery plan
  • Developing knowledge and understanding of the strategic business model and how this impacts RRP planning and ensure that RRP is proactively considered as part of Group strategy and change initiatives
  • Maintaining an up to date register of key contacts required for the recovery plan and who the authorities would need to contact in a resolution scenario.

Personal attributes

  • The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with an in depth knowledge and experience of the financial services industry.
  • This is a leadership role with a strong technical focus and the provision of subject matter expertise; therefore applicants must have significant understanding of capital, liquidity and profit within Investment Banking and Capital Markets.
  • Proven ability to deliver and embed financial and regulatory reporting frameworks, and to present information to the Executive and Board level. They should be able to understand how to transform strategy into delivery.
