Paul Pillmore

Consulting Director

Educated in New York, Paul Pillmore has a B.A in Economics and an M.B.A. in Finance and is one of Capital Markets Consulting's Chief Operating Officers. He heads our business transformation and change practice within Capital Markets and Investment Banking. He is currently leading a very successful Recovery & Resolution Planning programme with one of the world's leading retail and investment banks. He and his programme team have successfully delivered for the Global Banking & Markets division the documentation to the FSA ahead of time and under budget. This initiative has enabled the bank to be one of the first systemic banks to deliver this report.

Paul's experience of 25+years culminated as a Senior Executive within Banking Front Office, Treasury and Finance technology change.

His product experience includes Fixed income, Mortgage, ABS, MM, IRS, FRAs, FX, Repos, Equities, Exotics, Islamic finance, and Retail assets.

Paul has been responsible for P/L across treasury and investment functions in domestic and emerging markets and for derivatives trading and sales businesses.

He also has a working experience and deep knowledge of Enterprise Risk management, retail and counterparty credit risk, market risk, operational risk, ALM, VaR, Basel II & III, stress testing and regulatory reporting.

Paul's previous programme was leading the "Americas Programme" at RBS as the Programme Director. He had the ownership of the RBS / ABN global merger and transformation of the North American Equity Structured Products and Prime Services businesses - these businesses had a $100million turnover and $7+billion asset value. This programme of change involved extensive C-Level Stakeholder and Board management with over 400 global participants. He had responsibility for all merger related operating changes in the North American ESR business. He led the Governance Risk Board for all Americas change activity (primarily fixed income). He oversaw all Accounting and PnL verification, regulatory compliance, payments, market, credit and operating risk validation, legal, cross border tax, STP, and technology operating models. He formulated the new legal entity operating company design and all F2B operating models.

He has also led systems implementations for Wall Street Systems (Trema), SunGard, Kondor+, Mysis OPICs

He also has significant experience with Sophis, Murex, Calypso & Algorithmics platforms.
